At The Beagle and the Basset, our mission goes beyond curating vintage treasures and upcycled goods. While we love the thrill of the hunt, we are equally passionate about the responsibility that comes with being a part of the Austin community. We believe that business should be a force for good, which is why we’ve made community circularity a core pillar of our operations.
Today's Impact: We are proud to share that we just completed another donation drop-off to the Austin Habitat for Humanity ReStore. This haul included:
- Almost 15 pounds of clothing (men’s, women’s, and children’s)
- (3) boxes of children’s toys and school supplies
- (2) bicycles
- Several other household treasures
Why We Partner with Habitat for Humanity ReStore
The beauty of our partnership with ReStore lies in their commitment to sustainability. We know that not every item we find or collect can be resold in our shop. But that doesn’t mean those items should end up in a landfill. By donating to ReStore, we ensure these items have a second chance to find a home.
Every purchase made at the ReStore directly supports Austin Habitat’s programs, helping to build and repair homes for families in our community. It’s a full-circle approach: we clear out the clutter, the items find new life, and the proceeds help create affordable, safe housing for our neighbors. It is, quite literally, a #differentKindofdonation.
